Investing in Every Child’s Future, Fairly and Wisely
At Diamond Wood Community Academy, we believe that every child deserves the very best start. We are committed to using our funding fairly, transparently and with purpose to support the success and wellbeing of all pupils.
Our financial decisions are guided by our core values – A Place to Grow, A Place to Shine – and grounded in the principle of equity: recognising and meeting different needs so that every child can thrive. This page gives an overview of how we manage funding and meet our statutory responsibilities.
Our Approach to Using Funds
- Equity & Need‑Led Spending: We allocate resources fairly and according to pupil need, removing barriers so every child can access high quality provision.
- Curriculum & Inclusion: Budgets prioritise a broad, balanced and inclusive curriculum, early intervention and high quality teaching.
- Value for Money: We seek competitive quotes, benchmark costs, and evaluate impact to ensure public funds are used efficiently and effectively.
- Safeguarding & Compliance: All spending follows the Trust/ School Finance Policy, scheme of delegation and statutory guidance.
